It is said that Mandy was the first to brew beer in the Caribbean, introducing a new style of stout, which had a less roasted, but more fruity flavor and which later evolved into the Tropical Stout style.
Although little is known about her death, her legacy lives on in these parts, and as
say the dockers when they drink their Stout after work.
